Villa Aurora, is owned by the German government and staffed by the greatest bi-lingual staff one could ever hope for. The tops and bottoms of doors and windows must be sealed well, from moisture. Even when an alarm system is installed, the holes they drill must be sealed, or it will jeopardize the entire door or window. Screws should not be used to make or repair windows, as they attract moisture, and will rust and expand deep inside the wood. Visiting the bathrooms, is a real treat at the Villa Aurora, with the wonderful colors of Catalina/Malibu Tile. A couple of the poppy seed pod door knobs have disappeared through the years.
