This 1923 Italian Renaissance Revival holds a special monarch position among some of the more prominent family homes in the La Fayette Square of Los Angeles, along with the Pepperdine and Crenshaw residences. Each of the 70 Italian double hung wood windows were restored to a finger tip’s convenience. The exterior stucco substrate was cleaned and quality primers and paints were applied. Of special note is the terra-cotta entry. It was constructed by an east coast lumber baron with one of the first residential Otis elevators installed, for a convalescing parent.
